The REAL

This well used word, real, is astoundingly, astonishingly, breathtakingly powerful. Oh the layers we people wear! It's not at all like an onion which is often said, because with that you eventually reach the miniscule middle. Peeling it is flat and anti-climactic. Yeah, we've reached the end, throw it all in the pan with the oil or butter, or onto your non-stick with the rest of them. Sure.

The human REAL is different. It gets bigger and more vibrant, the further you go, inwardly. Yes it's uncomfortable, and brings about tears, and oh yeah it's damn stinky. The extent of comparison ends there.

The personal peeling that gets us to the real, is so, SOOOO much more. It's heart-wrenching. It's gutteral. It's a tad unseating.

However, it is also awe-inspiring. It's strengthening. It's, daring. It's courage. It gets us to the person we were born to be.

It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

Oh, and it's blessedly, FREEING!
